Start Strong. Grow Protected.
Tata Glazer is a specialized systemic fungicide designed exclusively for seed treatment.1 Formulated with Metalaxyl 35% WS (Water Dispersible Powder for Slurry Seed Treatment), it acts as the first line of defense for your crops.2 It penetrates the seed coat and protects the young seedling from the inside out against devastating soil-borne and seed-borne diseases, particularly Downy Mildew.3
By treating your seeds with Tata Glazer before sowing, you ensure better germination, vigorous root development, and a disease-free start for high-value crops like Maize, Bajra, Sorghum, and Sunflower.4
🛡️ Systemic Protection:
Glazer is absorbed by the seed and translocated to the growing seedling. This provides long-lasting protection (up to 30–45 days) during the most critical early growth stages.5
🌱 Specialized for Oomycetes:
It is highly specific and powerful against fungi of the order Peronosporales (like Downy Mildew) which cause rotting and damping-off.6
💪 Better Germination:
By eliminating fungal pathogens on the seed surface and in the soil, Glazer ensures a higher germination rate and a uniform crop stand.7
🌧️ Weather Resistant:
Once absorbed by the seed, it is not easily washed away by rain, ensuring consistent protection even in moist soil conditions.
📉 Cost-Effective:
Treating seeds is much cheaper and more efficient than trying to control a disease outbreak later with expensive foliar sprays.

Important: Tata Glazer is a Seed Dresser. It is not intended for spraying on leaves.
Dosage: Generally 6g to 7g per kg of seeds (Check label for specific crop recommendations).
Method (Slurry Treatment):
Mix the required quantity of Glazer with a small amount of water to form a smooth paste or slurry.
Add the slurry to the seeds in a seed drum or heavy-duty plastic bag.
Rotate or shake well until every seed is uniformly coated with the product.
Dry the seeds in the shade for 20–30 minutes before sowing.
Compatibility: Compatible with other common seed treatment insecticides (like Imidacloprid) if you want dual protection against insects and fungi.
Q1: Can I spray Tata Glazer on the leaves?
A: No. The WS formulation is specifically designed for seed treatment.8 For foliar sprays (spraying on leaves), you should look for Metalaxyl formulations labeled as "WP" (Wettable Powder) or "MZ" (Metalaxyl + Mancozeb).
Q2: What is the main disease Tata Glazer prevents?
A: It is the specialist for Downy Mildew and "Damping Off" (seedling rot).9 These diseases often strike early and can destroy an entire crop if the seed isn't protected.
Q3: How long does the protection last?
A: Because it is systemic, it protects the crop for approximately 30 to 45 days after sowing. This covers the most vulnerable seedling stage.
Q4: Is it safe for the seeds?
A: Yes, when used at the recommended dosage, it is perfectly safe and promotes better root health. However, avoid significantly overdosing as it is a potent chemical.
Q5: Can I mix it with bio-fertilizers like Rhizobium?
A: It is generally recommended to apply the chemical fungicide (Glazer) first, dry the seed, and then apply bio-agents like Rhizobium or Trichoderma just before sowing to minimize any negative impact on the live bacteria.
