Tata Blitox is a contact protectant, meaning thorough, drenching coverage of the plant is essential.

• Dosage for Foliar Spray:

  • 500 grams to 800 grams per acre.

  • Per Pump (15L): Approx. 40 grams to 50 grams.

  • (Ratio: 2.5 grams to 3 grams per liter of water).

• Dosage for Soil Drenching:

  • 3 grams per liter of water. Drench the root zone of wilting plants (like Tomato or Chilli) to stop soil-borne fungal/bacterial rot.

• Timing:

  • Apply as a preventive spray before the disease hits, especially right before the monsoon or immediately after heavy pruning/hailstorms to seal plant wounds.

Q1: Can I mix Tata Blitox with insecticides and other fertilizers?

A: WARNING: Copper is highly reactive. Do not mix Blitox with NPK fertilizers (like 19:19:19 or DAP) or Calcium/Magnesium, as it will curdle and block your pump. It should also not be mixed with EC (Emulsifiable Concentrate) insecticides like Profenofos or Chlorpyriphos, as it can burn the leaves. It is always safest to spray Copper by itself or do a small "bucket test" first.

Q2: Will Blitox cure my heavily infected crop?

A: Blitox is strictly a contact/preventive fungicide. It stays on the outside of the leaf. If the disease is already deep inside the plant, Blitox will stop it from spreading to new leaves, but you will need a systemic fungicide (like Tebuconazole or Azoxystrobin) to cure the internal infection.

Q3: Is Blitox the same as Bordeaux Mixture?

A: It is a modern, ready-to-use alternative. Bordeaux mixture (Copper Sulphate + Lime) is messy and time-consuming to prepare perfectly. Blitox gives you the same powerful copper protection in an easy-to-mix powder that won't easily burn your crop like a badly made Bordeaux mix can.
