Hit Them Outside. Poison Them Inside.
Bayer Solomon is a top-tier, broad-spectrum insecticide that combines two highly effective chemistries into one powerful spray. It features the instant knockdown power of Beta-cyfluthrin (a synthetic pyrethroid for chewing pests) and the long-lasting systemic protection of Imidacloprid (a neonicotinoid for sucking pests).
What truly sets Solomon apart is Bayer’s patented O-TEQ (Oil Dispersion) technology. Instead of water or harsh solvents, the active ingredients are suspended in a special oil base. When sprayed, this oil helps the chemical stick to the leaf, resist washing off in the rain, and penetrate deeply through the plant's waxy cuticle.
🔄 Dual Mode of Action:
Contact (Beta-cyfluthrin): Acts as a severe nerve shock, dropping caterpillars and borers almost instantly upon contact.
Systemic (Imidacloprid): Moves inside the plant sap to kill hidden sucking pests that feed on the leaves.
🛡️ O-TEQ Technology (Oil Dispersion):
Ensures superior spreading on the leaf, deep penetration, and excellent rainfastness (it won't wash away easily if it rains shortly after spraying).
🐛 Total Spectrum Control:
You don't need to mix two different chemicals. Solomon handles both the "biting/chewing" pests (borers, loopers) and the "sucking" pests (aphids, jassids) simultaneously.
⚡ Anti-Feeding Effect:
Even if the pest doesn't die instantly, Solomon immediately paralyzes their jaw muscles. They stop eating your crop within minutes of the spray.

Bayer Solomon is a premium intervention tool. It is best used when you have a mixed population of both sucking pests and caterpillars.
Dosage:
General: 100 ml – 150 ml per acre.
(Brinjal: 80-100 ml / Soybean & Cotton: 130-150 ml)
Per Pump (15L): Approx. 10 ml – 15 ml.
(Ratio: 0.75 ml to 1 ml per liter of water).
Method:
Shake the bottle vigorously before use (OD formulations can settle).
Mix thoroughly in water; the oil dispersion will form a milky white emulsion.
Ensure thorough coverage of the crop canopy.
Timing:
Apply at the first sign of pest threshold crossing, especially during the active vegetative and fruiting stages.
Q1: How is Solomon different from mixing Imidacloprid and Cypermethrin myself?
A: Tank-mixing cheap generics won't give you Bayer's O-TEQ Oil Dispersion technology. This special oil base is what gives Solomon its incredible leaf penetration and rain resistance. Furthermore, Beta-cyfluthrin is a highly refined, highly active pyrethroid, effective at much lower doses than standard cypermethrin.
Q2: Is it safe to spray if it might rain later today?
A: Yes, this is where Solomon shines. Because of its oil base, once the spray dries on the leaf (usually within 1-2 hours), it becomes highly rainfast.
Q3: Can I use it for Girdle Beetle in Soybean?
A: Absolutely. Solomon is one of the highest-rated chemicals for Soybean precisely because it wipes out both the Girdle Beetle and the Semilooper caterpillar in a single spray.
Q4: Will it kill Whiteflies?
A: It is very effective against Aphids and Jassids, and offers good control over adult Whiteflies. However, for severe, dedicated Whitefly infestations, a specialist like Diafenthiuron (Trassid/Pegasus) or Pyriproxyfen might be required for the egg/nymph stages.
Q5: Do I need to add a sticker/spreader to Solomon?
A: Generally, no. The O-TEQ formulation already contains an inbuilt high-quality spreader and penetrant. Adding another sticker is usually unnecessary unless you are spraying during heavy monsoon conditions.
