Bayer Roundup: The Total Weed Solution
Kills the Root. Cleans the Field.
Bayer Roundup is the gold standard in non-selective weed control. Powered by Glyphosate 41% SL, it is a systemic herbicide that doesn't just burn the leaves—it travels down to the deepest roots and rhizomes, ensuring the weed is dead forever.
It is a "Non-Selective" herbicide, meaning it kills anything green it touches. It is the ultimate tool for clearing fields before sowing (zero tillage), cleaning farm bunds (force), orchads, and non-cropped areas like roadsides and irrigation channels.
☠️ Total Kill (Systemic Action):
It is absorbed by the leaves and translocated to the roots. It effectively kills tough perennial weeds like Cyperus (Motha), Cynodon (Doob Grass), and Parthenium which are hard to remove manually.
🌍 No Soil Residue:
One of its best features is that it deactivates immediately upon touching the soil. This means you can spray Roundup to kill weeds and sow your seeds 3-4 days later without affecting the new crop germination.
🛡️ Broad Spectrum:
It controls all types of weeds: Grasses, Broad-leaved weeds, and Sedges.
🚜 Perfect for Zero-Tillage:
Ideally used to prepare the field before planting, saving the cost of plowing and manual weeding.

Roundup is powerful. Use with extreme care near crops.
Dosage:
General: 1 Liter – 1.2 Liters per acre.
Per Pump (15L): Approx. 100 ml – 120 ml.
(Ratio: Approx. 8 ml to 10 ml per liter of water).
Crucial Rules:
Clean Water Only: You MUST use clean, clear water. Muddy or dirty water binds to the Glyphosate and deactivates it instantly.
Use a Hood: If spraying in an orchard or near a crop, use a Protective Hood/Shield on the nozzle to prevent drift onto the main crop.
Active Growth: Weeds must be green and actively growing for the poison to be absorbed. Do not cut weeds before spraying.
Timing:
Apply when weeds are 4-6 inches tall.
Do not spray if rain is expected within 4–6 hours.
Q1: Can I use it in my standing Cotton or Soybean crop?
A: NO. If Roundup touches your cotton or soybean leaves, the plant will die. It is only for use on empty fields or on bunds (borders). If you use it between rows, you must use a hood very carefully.
Q2: Will it affect the next crop?
A: No. Roundup becomes inactive as soon as it touches the soil particles. It does not stay active in the ground. You can sow your next crop 3-4 days after spraying.
Q3: Why did it not work?
A: The most common reasons are:
1. Using muddy/dirty water from a pond.
2. Rain occurred within 4 hours of spraying.
3. The weeds were covered in dust (dust blocks absorption).
Q4: Can I mix Urea or Ammonium Sulfate with it?
A: Yes, adding Ammonium Sulfate or urea (100g per pump) helps soften the water and improves the absorption of Glyphosate into the weed leaves, making it work faster.
Q5: How long does it take to kill weeds?
A: It is a slow killer. You will see yellowing in 5–7 days, and complete death (roots included) in 10–15 days. Be patient; it is killing the root system.
